A day is rarely only a calendar, only a habit tracker or only a note. It may include an appointment, a shopping list, a routine you are trying to make easier, a private thought, and—if it is useful to you—cycle context. Siela is designed to keep those pieces close together without making every missed task feel like a failure.
Start with one view of today
The Siela dashboard is a calm starting point for the day. It brings together your routines, upcoming events, pinned notes or lists, progress and—when you enable it—gentle cycle context. Instead of opening a separate routine tracker, calendar and notes app, you can see the actions that matter today in one place.
This is useful for everyday planning: put a meeting in the calendar, keep your grocery list pinned, add a few self-care or household routines, and leave yourself a note for later. The dashboard is not intended to turn life into a productivity score. It is a practical overview that you can return to when you need your bearings.
Plan days, weeks and events around real life
Siela has calendar views for seeing plans by day, week or month. You can add events and notes to the days where they belong, then use the daily view to see those plans alongside routines and cycle context. This makes it easier to keep a deadline, a dinner plan, a personal reminder and a routine in the same daily picture.
If you already use Google Calendar or Apple Calendar on your phone, Siela can show those device calendar events beside your Siela plans after you grant calendar permission. When you save a Siela event, the app can also prompt you to add it to your device calendar. Your phone's calendar remains its own system; Siela helps you see the relevant context together.
Build routines that fit the way you actually do things
A simple routine is a calm checkbox: take a walk, read before bed, water the plants or do a morning skincare step. You can schedule it every day or choose specific days of the week, give it an icon, reorder it and retire it from future days without erasing its past history.
For routines that need more detail, Siela also supports advanced routines. Depending on what you are planning, an advanced routine can use checklist steps, a quantity target, or timed amounts. You can add a routine-specific reminder, or set exact times for individual steps. That works for many practical situations: a multi-step morning routine, a hydration target, a workout with repetitions, or a task that happens at more than one time of day.
Use a timed routine for pills, vitamins or other supplies
Siela can support the organisation around a pill, vitamin, supplement, contact-lens or similar routine. Create an advanced timed routine, name each step, choose the time, record the amount and unit you want to track, and enable step-time reminders. When the step is complete, mark it done in the day's routine.
Optional supply tracking adds another useful layer. Enter what you have left, choose the level at which you want a running-low badge, and set how much is used when the step is completed. Siela can reduce that supply count and help you notice when it is getting low; you can adjust the count or record a refill yourself. This is helpful for practical planning, not for prescribing or verifying a treatment plan.
Keep notes, diary entries and lists where you need them
Siela notes can be ordinary text notes or tickable checklists. Use them for diary-style reflection, a shopping list, a packing list, errands, a short plan for tomorrow or a private reminder. A note can stay with a particular day, or you can pin an important note or checklist to the dashboard so it remains visible until you no longer need it.
Notes and lists are also shareable. You can send readable plain text through your phone's share sheet, or send a Siela note file. Another person with Siela can import that file as a new note or checklist. Sharing a note is different from sharing a live workspace: it sends a copy, so later edits are not automatically shared between people or devices.
Look back with reflection instead of streak pressure
The Reflection area helps you see how routines have felt over time without treating a missed day as a broken streak. You can review care milestones, successful days and routine trends over seven days, 30 days, 12 weeks or a year. For an advanced routine, the history can show completed steps, partial effort or quantity totals as well as the opportunities that were scheduled.
The point is to learn what is working, spot patterns and make kinder adjustments. You might notice that a certain routine works better on weekdays, that your planned target is too ambitious, or that a short routine is more realistic during a busy period. Siela records the context; you decide what it means.
Use cycle awareness only if it serves you
Cycle tracking is optional in Siela. If you enable it, you can log period dates and symptoms, see cycle phases and estimates, and view that context alongside your calendar and routines. The app can offer gentle phase-aware cues, such as leaving more buffer for a lower-energy day, but your planner remains useful even if cycle tracking is not part of your life.
Cycle information is for personal awareness and planning only. It is not a medical device, fertility treatment, contraception method, diagnosis tool or substitute for professional care. Predictions are estimates based on the information you log and should not be used for medical decisions.
Privacy, sharing and moving to another device
Siela is local-first. In the current version, your routines, app-created events, notes, optional cycle logs and preferences are stored on your device. There is no required account, developer-run cloud profile or automatic cross-device sync for this personal app data.
If you move phones or want a deliberate backup, use Export Data to save or share a Siela JSON export file, then use Import Data on the other device. Importing is an intentional replacement of the receiving device's current Siela data, so it is best to keep a current export before making the transfer. This manual approach keeps control in your hands rather than silently copying sensitive notes, routines or cycle information to a server.

Frequently asked questions
What can I plan in Siela?
You can plan calendar events, daily or selected-day routines, timed steps, notes, checklists and personal reminders. The dashboard brings together what is relevant today, while the calendar helps you look ahead and reflection helps you look back.
Can I use Siela as a pill reminder or vitamin tracker?
You can create timed, amount-based routines with reminders and optional supply tracking for pills, vitamins or supplements. Follow professional guidance for anything medical: Siela helps organise the routine but does not give dosage or treatment advice.
Does Siela sync across devices?
Not automatically. Siela keeps data on the device in the current version. To move your information, export a Siela data file from one device and import it on the other. Import replaces the receiving device's current Siela data, so make a backup first.
Can I share a shopping list or note with someone?
Yes. Share a note as readable plain text, or send it as a Siela app file that the recipient can import as a new Siela note or checklist. It is a copy, not live collaborative editing.
Is Siela only for cycle tracking?
No. Cycle awareness is optional. Siela also works as a private calendar planner, routine planner, checklist app, notes space and reflection companion for anyone who wants a calmer way to organise everyday life.
